Bird Shows

Bird shows have a well documented history dating back decades. Judged on their colour, size, position (stance), conformation (body ideal), feathering and condition such shows are ultimately beauty contests for birds. Seemingly harmless, repeated showings have had a dramatic effect on the self esteem of the Hengrel which has led scientists to define and classify a psychological disorder specific to Hengrels: Frankhenstein syndrome.
