Identity quilts

At a time when their parents are recovering from cosmetic surgery, chicks are taught to stitch. Typically, recycled clothing and linen are used to frame images of their relatives.

It is ironic that the Hengrels use cloth associated with the cultural and personal identity of humans. In so doing they extend the sense of false identity which pervades their species.
